Chord finder does not run, the application crashes

Everything works in previous version... Chords finder crash.

Previous version was amazing, everything working, better graphics. Its a nonsense the restyling. Chord finder crashes! You cant scroll between chord by swipe the screen. Please correct the bug, and let us decide between interfaces. The new white one is good for computer people not for a guitarist.

For some reason, even in the default setting, the pitch of chords and scales are played 1 whole step higher than the selected tonal center. This needs to be fixed. Other than that, its a cool app.

This thing has tons of great features, but the Tuning setting isnt available for the chord dictionary. I want to be able to look up how to play chords in any tuning not just standard. The setting is available for the scales and the chord finder though. Will be much better when you can change the tuning on every mode.

This app is worth the cost of the phone. The tuner is awesome. Us edit in the store. Any scale or chord up and down. Tap a new note and see the chord change. Train ur ear. It needs an auto setting to hear the chords or scales continuous. 2 bucks wow!!

How are there not more reviews of this? Ive been enjoying this app for years and I show it to all the guitarists I meet.

Very handy. As far as I can tell, it combines their other apps into a free package. (I dont have the others, so I could be wrong.) Metronome seems spot on (didnt leave it playing for very long). Feature I would like added would be the ability for the tuner to produce a pitch (440, or whatever) in addition to the passive tuning it currently offers. Edit: as noted by some others here, the tuner is out of tune. The A is exactly 440, but the other strings are off by 5-10 Hz.

I have had to delete and reinstall this app quite a few times because the tuner stops working.

As others have mentioned the tuner is off by a step or so sometimes. I wrote to the developer about this issue... No response. Im disappointed.

I wanted one thing - to be able to identify chords that I play and dont know. Works fine unless you want to find a bar chord. Really?! I really would not have bought this if I has known it wouldnt identify bar chords. I wrote to support on the website and never got an answer. UPDATE: I got them on the phone and George patiently & cheerfully helped me understand how I could figure out what I need. He was so smart he had to dial back his intelligence to help me because of my ignorance about music. Thanks.

I have gad to delete and reinstall this app several times as the tuner goes out of whack!

The fact that this product has been out for so long and not optimized for the ipads (this include 1st gen ipad also,LOL)larger screen is beyond shameful.

I bought this app quite some time ago. I used it quite frequently until recently when an update caused the Chords and Chord Finder to stop working. No sounds are produced at all when strumming the chords. Im hoping the developers will address this bug in an upcoming release. Ill give it 5 stars if they fix it.

Used to work great and now chords and scales no longer play the tones when strummed. Fit it please!

I just purchased the latest version 2 days ago. Everything worked initially but now the audio (metronome and strum) does not work. The metronome and the tuner are frozen as well. Supposedly, the audio was fixed in this version on Dec 17, 2012. Dont think so! Also, the Contact Technical Support link in the App results in a File not found error 404. Assuming these issues will be resolved, I like the potential of the App functions. Update: Technical Support quickly resolved all but the "Contact Technical Support link in the App results in a File not found error 404" issue. The App is working correctly and I find it very useful for chord and scale lookup, the metronome is handy in a pinch, the tuner is a bit sensitive to other surrounding sounds so it works best in a quiet environment. And as for the Teachers/Stores Near Me, I really dont see this being useful for my purposes.

I reviewed this shortly after I got it and said that, once you reboot your phone after installing it, the audio in the app was fine. Thats what the Planet Waves website said to do. It DID work, but once you shut down the app and reopen it a day later the audio is gone. Therefore, in order to hear the chords or scales in the "finder" portions of the app, you will have to reboot your phone every time. Its fairly useless at that point (the audio) - who is that patient??. If you have your guitar in your hands, however, you can simply play the chord. Its just disappointing that this problem has been complained about for so long and Planet Waves doesnt have any inclination to fix it. They have many great products, but should stay out of the app business if they dont have the wherewithal to put in the effort.

I have had this app for a long time. But without the sound it is quit useless. I think PW has had plenty of time to address this. Fix it.

This app has great features and I love it, but its very buggy with IOS 6. In the past, Ive recommended this app and have shown it off to lots of my friends and family. But now, as others have noted, you have to reboot your phone to get the audio to work. This problem has been around for months, and until they get fixed, I cant recommend this app.

I like the app. I think it is well organized and thought out. I only have one gripe that I hope will be corrected soon. I get no sound! Now, for most tasks, to me, its not a big issue. However, when using the chord finder, it is an issue. Additionally, when I clicked on technical support, the page did not exist. So, tech support, plz fix this issue and I will revise my review!
